Objective: to introduce the concept of Solar System.
- Brainstormed "Solar System" to determine prior knowledge.

- listed the names of known planets
- explained the concept of orbiting with an activity. Planet Chloe and planet Bethany demonstrated orbiting Mr. C One in a close orbit one on a wider orbit - we noticed that the wider orbit took longer to complete the circuit.
- On IWB looked at an animation of the earth orbiting the sun - explained that the cycle take one year.
- introduced recording method
- recorded title, opening statement, statement about the Earth orbiting the sun and a diagram
